Former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown Recognizes World Education Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown included World Education’s work with Burmese refugees on the Thai-Burma border in a recent post on his official website. Brown’s post entreated the U.K. to support Myanmar opposition leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s call for universal education in Myanmar. Brown noted that World Education is one of the few agencies carrying out education work in Myanmar. World Education has been working to increase access to quality education for migrants and refugees on the Thai-Burma border for 13 years. World Education’s current projects on the border support teacher training, curriculum development, youth education, special education, adult literacy, and policy work.
